PAUL ARMSTRONG ALEXANDRIA, IN: Paul William "Bill" Armstrong, 90, entered peace and rest on Friday, August 8, 2025, from the Elwood Health and Living following an extended illness. He was born on May 2, 1935, in Marion to Paul and Euthena (Nye) Armstrong and had lived in the Alexandria-Elwood area all his life. Bill was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1953. He retired in 1998 from RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics in Marion after 33 years of employment. He has been a long-time, faithful member of the Orestes Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. Bill enjoyed camping and fishing, especially at Shakamak State Park. He was an all-around fix-it handyman kind of guy. He also enjoyed working on brain teaser puzzles. However, the time spent with family was very special to Bill. Survivors: 3 Daughters-Susan (Jimmy) Campbell of Elwood, Nancy (Bob) Gendreau of Glasgow, Kentucky, Sonya (Bill) Roach of Lucas, Kentucky. Son-Phillip Armstrong of Knightstown 10 Grandchildren 17 Great-Grandchildren 4 Great-Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years-Mary Carpenter Armstrong in 2019, Brother and sister-in-law-Bob and Janis Armstrong, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law-Larry Joe and Barbara Carpenter, Nieces-Tammy Kerst and Debbie Troxell, Great-Nephew-Jeremy Ankrom, Great-Niece-Leia Ankrom, Services honoring Bill's life, legacy and faith will take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Rev. Brad Moore officiating. The Armstrong family will receive friends after 12 noon on Wednesday prior to the service in the funeral home.
