Paul Elio Bartolomei, 88, of Sterling died Thursday January 8, 2026 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Paul was born October 29, 1937 in Sterling, the son of Ubaldo and Celide (Flosi) Bartolomei. Paul graduated from Community Catholic High School, Sterling in 1957. He then married his loving wife, Teodora Cordoni on April 18, 1959 in Sterling.
Paul spent the majority of his life operating his family business since 1968, Al & Ledas Pizza Villa in Sterling, with his wife Teodora of 66 years. He enjoyed music, dancing, his cars, sweets, and traveling. His greatest accomplishment was his family, and he loved spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife Teodora; one son Gerry (Paula) Bartolomei; one daughter Paulette Venier; one sister-in-law Leda Bartolomei; one son-in-law Rodney Melsness; seven grandchildren Nicholas (Kirsten) Melsness, Joshua Bartolomei, Andrew (Jason LeCompte) Melsness, Shealey (John) Latta, Anthony Bartolomei, Sarina Venier, and Nathan (Janice) Bartolomei; seven great-grandchildren Braelynn Melsness, Jevyn Latta, Cason Bartolomei, Gianna Latta, Nolan Bartolomei, Jayce Latta, and Dominic Bartolomei.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Loriann Melsness; one sister Beatrice Bartolomei; and two brothers Angelo Bartolomei, and Albert Bartolomei.
Visitation will be 1PM-4PM Sunday January 11, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Mass of The Christian Burial will be 11AM, Monday January 12, 2026 at St. Mary's Church in Sterling.
A memorial has been established to St. Mary's Church and St. Mary's School.
