Boucher Funeral Home, Inc.Paul J. Bastarache, 66, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with his devoted family by his side.
Born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, on April 4, 1959, and was brought to Gardner when he was two years old. Paul was the youngest of twelve children of the late Eloi and Josephine (Leger) Bastarache.
For many years, he devoted his career to computer repair and digital technology, where he took great pride in his work. He earned a "Business Skills Enhancement Certificate" from Mount Wachusett Community College.
Paul is survived by his beloved husband, Raymond Richard of Gardner.
A devoted parishioner Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner, Paul found joy in music, movies, traveling, and, most of all, time spent with his family.
Beside his husband, Paul is survived by two stepdaughters, Crystal Nilsson and her husband Nathan of Ashburnham, Tiffany Baldwin and her husband Owen of Connecticut; two sisters, Melina Bastarache of St. Joseph, New Brunswick, Canada, and Maria Bastarache of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; three brothers, Ulysse Bastarache of Cocagne, New Brunswick, Canada, Guy Bastarache of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Yvon Bastarache and his partner Lorraine of Ashburnham; he was also survived by several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Joe Bastarache, Noel Bastarache, Normand Bastarache; three sisters, Claudette Bastarache, Bella Cormier, and Therese Gallant; and two in-laws, Donald and Lorraine Bastarache
A Calling Hour will be held Friday, November 14, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 a.m., in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741, or on their website at (www.cancer.org). Please reference in memory of Paul J. Bastarache.
