Paul Bersche Obituary

Paul was born on November 4th, 1936, to Gervase and Jessie Bersche. He married his high school sweetheart Carolyn August 24th, 1955, and they were happily married for 68 years.
Everything Paul did was either in service to his family or his faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a pastor, a mentor, a writer, and a friend to so many, and he worked tirelessly to minister to his community. Paul was a man of faith, and his memory lives on in the hearts of all the people he touched. He will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his son Kevin, his daughter-in-law Jane (wife of his late son, Tim), his grandchildren Benj (Marielle), Jill, Jeremiah (Dani), and Luke, his great-grandchildren Damian and Jamila, and his brother James. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, his eldest son, Timothy, his grandson Mark, and his brothers Joseph and John.
Following his wishes, cremation has already taken place. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at Lifepoint Church in Waterford Township at 11 am, April 6th, and a luncheon to follow.

Anita Froman...3/31/24....I remember Pastor Paul walking me through a season of trials and he took every one of my calls and ministered the Father's heart to me in grace, over and over again. I remember him telling me I would know so much of the Father's love God would have to remind me what I once was, so I could tell about it. He was my mentor and I often say he changed my spiritual diapers, because I made lots of messes in the beginning. He was a true example of the Father's heart to me.

I remember him playing baseball with the men from the Detroit Central and Dearborn CM&A Church along with my father, Dick Kleffman, early 60´s. He was a good ball player and friend to my father.

Sweet Servant of the Lord, Apostle Bersche. I will never forget seeing you and Mother Carolyn at the Son of Thunder conference in 2017. As a spiritual father, you wanted to make sure our family was doing okay. You asked about Azariah and was elated despite the season, still were steadfast in the Lord. I will glean on all of the teachings. Especially those of being a GODLY parent. You're with your bride and your Savior. We love you deeply and will remain eternally grateful for your spiritual leadership and guidance in our lives.
