PEABODY - Paul A Bourne, 68, of Peabody, MA died on March 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Melrose and raised in Saugus, MA, Paul was the son of the late Merton and Bertha (Bierweiler) Bourne. Paul served in the US Army National Guard for 6 years (1970 -1976) and was employed by Comcast for more than 20 years before his retirement. He was an avid boater who owned both sail and power boats during his life. His warm smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (McMahon) Bourne, and their sons Scott Ball and his wife Maria of Peabody and David Ball and his wife Bridget of Danvers. He was a devoted grandfather to David Ball, Jr. of Danvers and Matthew, Courtney, and Andrew Ball of Peabody. In addition, Paul leaves his three brothers, Scott Bourne of Danvers, Clifford Bourne and his wife Muriel, and William Bourne and his wife Ashier all of Pahrump, NV. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service which will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers on Wednesday, March 7th at 11:30 A.M. Visitation will be held prior to his service from 10 to 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Paul's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Po Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or The Fisher House Foundation, PO Box 230, South Walpole, MA 02071.
