Obituary
In Loving Memory of Paul Chandler Britton
Paul Chandler Britton, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023, due to natural causes. He was born on December 5, 1964, in Alliance, Ohio, but later called Quincy, Massachusetts, his home. Paul's departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Throughout his life, Paul made a lasting impact on those around him. He is survived by his long-time companion, Pat Motsinger, his beloved mother, Diane Britton, his father, Thomas Britton, and his sister, Laura Britton. They mourn his loss and cherish the memories they shared with him.
Paul attended Alliance High School and was selected to participate in the American Legion Buckeye Boy's State & played Football. A graduate of the esteemed West Point Military Academy, he served at Fort Bliss, Texas, and was commissioned as a Captain in the Army before exiting the military to pursue a civilian career. His military records speak volumes of his exceptional character, noting unwavering integrity, limitless potential, and a commitment to excellence. He was acknowledged for his selfless dedication to his unit, peers, and subordinates. Paul was an officer of immense potential, consistently demonstrating his desire to learn and his unwavering determination to enhance the performance of his unit.
After leaving the military, Paul transitioned his skills and knowledge to various fields, including Engineering, IT, and Recruiting. His adaptability and dedication were evident in his professional pursuits. The pandemic presented Paul with a unique opportunity to explore the gig economy, working as a food delivery driver for top restaurants in Boston. This venture allowed him to take a step back, appreciate the simple pleasures of life, and indulge in his favorite pastime-reading and spending time with Pat, and his two beloved cats.
Paul Chandler Britton will be fondly remembered as a man of honor, humility, and compassion. His legacy will endure through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the values he instilled in those who were fortunate enough to know him.
May those who mourn his loss find solace in the cherished memories of their time together.

Paul and I met in July 1983. We were in the same squad in Cadet Basic Training. During that grueling summer we forged a friendship and brotherhood that would last a lifetime. I am proud to have know such a fine man. Well done Paul, be thou at peace. #OCWS 87

I went to high school with Paul. He was brilliant but humble and always kind. His smile was dazzling. My strict parents wouldn´t let me go to parties but when Paul had one, they approved "since it was Paul". He was a shining light to all around him.
