Age 92 of Greentree, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, with his wife and his children by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Joan; his son, Paul Carmichael (Sherry) and daughter, Kathleen Vuono (Martin). Loving grandfather of Paul III, Christie, Shane, Jenna (Mike), Lauren, and Brendan, and loving great grandfather of Domenic. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Carmichael, and was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alice Carmichael. 

Paul and Joan spent most of their lives in Greentree and attended St. Margaret’s Church. Paul worked many years in the ceramic color industry. While in the Army in the early 50’s, he guarded an ammunition depot. When the Army became aware of his singing talent, he was ordered to join the Special Services to entertain troops throughout Europe. Paul was a big fan of the Penguins and Steelers. His dedication to his family will always be his greatest legacy. 

All are welcome Friday, December 27, 2-5 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, December 28, 10 AM, St. Margaret of Scotland Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Moon Twp.
