Paul John Cersovsky, age 71 of Ellis, Kansas died July 20, 2025, at his home in Ellis.
John was born in Colby, Kansas on December 27, 1953, to Paul and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Delzeit) Cersovsky.
He worked as a security officer for Colby Community College for 25 years, retiring in December 2020. As a young man he enjoyed hunting and fishing and later in life he started collecting stamps and coins.
John is survived by his wife: Jennie Cersovsky, of Ellis, KS; children: Randall (Maranda) Cersovsky, of Healy, KS; Anita (Nabeel) Khokhar, of Hutchinson, KS; Sarah (Mark) McArthur, of Cleveland, OK; and Eric (Kacey) Cersovsky, of Topeka, KS.
His extended family includes stepchildren: Bonnie (James) Brungardt, of Hays, KS; Felicia (Shawn) York, of Salina, KS; Savannah Clapper, of Ellis, KS; and Donald (Ashley) Clapper, of Mesa, AZ.
Grandchildren: Landon, Ana, Korben, and Aylee Cersovsky, Hannah, Noah, Christian Khokhar, Caden, Cale, Colter, and Chisolm McArthur. Step grandchildren: Eric, Jimmy, and Cooper Brungardt, Colby and Caleb Laugeness, Landen Clapper, Aiden Valencia, Trinity Hancock, Madison and Michael Clapper, and Emilie and Lexi LaMar.
Siblings: Teresa Loughran, of Myrtle Beach, SC; Cindy (Dale) Beisner, of Natoma, KS; Don (Bridget) Cersovsky, of Bushland, TX; and Jerry Cersovsky (Carla Cagle), of Hideaway, TX
John was preceded in death by his parents: his father Paul A. Cersovsky and wife Laura Ann, and his mother Jacqueline “Jackie” Gilkerson and husband Marvin, also a stepson: Eric McDonald.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Ellis. Viewing and Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM with a parish vigil service beginning at 7 PM all at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Ellis. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery - Colby, Kansas at 3:30 PM on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Ellis in care of the funeral chapel.
