Paul Chuvala Obituary
September 12, 2012
Paul, John, (PJ), Chuvala, age 78 of Wakefield, RI, passed away at Westerly Hospital, RI on September 12, 2021. He was the husband of Linda (Hugyo), Chuvala. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Salva and two grandchildren Piper and Jesse Salva of Bethel, CT. PJ was born at Danbury Hospital on November 18, 1942. After graduating from Bethel High School in 1960, he served four years in the US Marine Corps. PJ worked for BJ Dolans for 25 years as a Teamster truck drive. He later continued his career with CTDOT for 10 years.
PJ was Past Commander of both the American Legion, Post 100 and the Bethel Patriotic Color Guard. PJ retired from the Bethel Men's Softball League after playing for 49 years. He was a devout follower of Jeopardy and never missed an episode.
PJ will be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends in the Bethel area, Rhode Island and throughout the country.
Services for PJ will take place at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood, Ave., Bethel, CT at 10:00 a.m. on September 17, 2021, followed by interment at Elmwood Cemetery, 1 Old Lantern Dr., Bethel.

I worked with PJ at the Bernard J Dolan Company, what I remember most was his willingness to pitch in and help. My office was on the second floor and Franny asked Alan and PJ to go up on the 1st floor porch roof to fix something. I could see PJ was not thrilled with heights, which he told me later, but there he was, on a roof, pitching in!! He was loyal, a team player and friendly in a quiet
way, it was a pleasure working with him. I´m so sorry for your loss, sending you solace and peace....
