Paul Anthony Cosmas, 77, of Huntersville, NC passed away on June 17, 2023. Paul was born in Elizabeth, NJ on January 17, 1946 to the late John Cosmas, Sr. and Rose Cosmas.
Along with his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Cosmas on March 8, 1953; Thomas Cosmas on May 18, 2023; and son-in-law Brian Dougherty on November 6, 2005.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Dougherty; daughter, Kathleen Cosmas-Motley; son-in-law, Nate Cosmas-Motley; daughter, Michele Veloso; son-in-law, Luis Veloso; daughter, Christine Patrick; son-in-law, John Patrick; son, Steven Cosmas; daughter-in-law, Tina Cosmas; and children’s mother, Barbara Cosmas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Amanda Cosmas, Devin Cosmas, Emily Dougherty, George Dougherty, Lillie Cosmas-Motley, Nathaniel Cosmas-Motley, Isabela Veloso, Jakey Veloso, Vanessa Patrick, Gabriella Patrick, Ryan Cosmas, Grey McColloughy; and great-grandchildren ZahRiyah Cosmas and Sienna Cosmas.
Paul had many passions in life including more than his corvette. He was well known as a master carpenter, enjoyed archery, tennis, fishing, bowling, ice and roller skating, music, art, and was an international movie star in his own right. Above all he loved making memories with his kids and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
