Paul Dunphy Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

CLINTON-Paul L. Dunphy, 71, died on November 29, 2025, in Augusta. He was born on April 1, 1954, in Hartland, Maine, the oldest son of Linwood "Red" and Dorothy "Dot" Dunphy. He worked various jobs throughout his career and retired from the railroad.
Paul was one of a kind. He enjoyed long walks, being in the sun, tinkering on his cars, the freedom of riding his motorcycle, and a good campfire going in his yard. He could be quite outspoken with his opinions, a little gruff on the outside, but he had a tender and generous heart.
He is survived by his siblings: Jim Dunphy and wife Pam, Colleen Martin and husband Steve, and Roger Dunphy and his girlfriend, Cindi; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a special uncle, Reed Dunphy.
There will never be another Paul Dunphy. He will be missed.
A time of visiting will be held from 4-5:30 p.m., with a time of sharing at 5:30 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
