DUSZYNSKI, Paul W. of Hamburg, entered into rest March 7, 2026 after a year and a half battle with lung cancer. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Duszynski, his mother Fedora (nee Tonello) Duszynski, and his 2 year old son Paul Michael Duszynski.
Paul is the loving husband of Margaret (nee Rahill); the devoted father to Sarah Duszynski, Molly (Scott) Bykowicz, and Lauren (Joshua) Tarbox; and the fun-loving grandfather to Olivia, Gavin, Ryder, Willow, and Alula.
Brother to many siblings, their spouses and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Thursday (March 12th) from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bernadette Church, 5930 S Abbott Rd., Orchard Park on Friday morning at 10:15 o’clock. Please assemble at Church.
Paul, a life-long WNY resident and proud graduate of St. Joseph Collegiate High School, was the original DIYer. There was nothing he wasn’t willing to try to rig together before calling in the big guns, which he seldom had to do. He was a skilled wood artisan who proudly displayed his craft at local art shows. Paul was an avid gardener who could be heard coaxing his tomato, zucchini, and pepper plants during the summer months. He was a Bob Dylan afficionado who also loved to tinker on the guitar and bang out a few chords here and there.
There was no denying his absolute love for family for whom he delighted in creating works of beauty. His last career was with Gemini Finishers, where in his free time he was able to make specialty jewelry for his wife and daughters. However, as a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, they all knew he was not to be disturbed when the Bills were on television! His social life was scheduled around Bills games-which he preferred to watch undisturbed and alone.
Paul’s battle with cancer was not an easy one. Whatever difficulties in life he faced, he did so with silent courage and undeterred grit. He was not a complainer, and he left us with many important lessons. Most recently it was that sometimes, when we are tested; it is not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths. Paul had many strengths.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
