Robert A. Duszynski, 73, of Durham North Carolina peacefully passed away at his home on June 23, 2024.
He was born on September 28, 1950 in Buffalo New York to the late Arnold J. Duszynski MD and Mary R. Duszynski. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Duszynski.
Robert moved to North Carolina in 1974 where he worked mostly as a commercial painter for DWH Painting Company & Shaw Coatings Inc.
Robert loved his family and enjoyed spending many winter holidays at his parents' home in Ellicottville New York.
Robert was a lifetime handyman with many interests from keeping his vehicles in pristine condition, refinishing antique hand tools and advising his loved ones about the best way to fix things.
Robert enjoyed his downtime watching NFL and OSU Buckeye football games and watching the Motor Trend & History Channels and Masterpiece Theater.
Robert is survived by his sisters Mary Joan Brown of Ellicottville New York & Pauline "Polly" Oman (Jon) of Durham North Carolina, and nephew Trevor Duszynski (Kat) of Concord North Carolina.
For those wishing to remember Robert, there will be a gathering between 2PM – 4PM on Sunday June 30, 2024 at Maggiano's Little Italy of Durham North Carolina.
Robert's family will be forever grateful to the friendship provided by Seth Smith and the excellent care provided by Duke HomeCare & Hospice.
