Paul J. Eisinger

Paul J. Eisinger, 71, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Rome Health with his loving family by his side. Born in Albany, on June 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Albert P. and Mary (DeChambeau) Eisinger. On February 13, 1982, he was united in marriage to Sharon Rizzo. Together they raised four children.

Paul attended Rome schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an integral part of their family business, Rizzo's Market, along with his wife and children. He was employed by CNYDSO for many years. He was known by many for his hard work, dedication and kindness.

Paul was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed caring for animals and wildlife. Overall, his greatest love was for his family and being together.

Paul is survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Sharon; their four children, Kristen, Justin, Jennifer, and Michael; three grandchildren, Ryan, Tiana, and Mason; and his three grand-dogs, Chicago, Milo, and Bella. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Anne Eisinger.

Paul's family would like to thank Dr. Nicoletta Tallindini for her thoughtful care over many years, Dr. Linda Schicker of Upstate Radiation Oncology for her guidance and support over these last eight years, Oneida Cancer Center, and the staff and respiratory therapists at Rome Health that most recently treated Paul.

Most instrumental in Paul's healthcare has been his oldest daughter, Kristen. Without her love and dedication, we would have missed out on many years of our family being together.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or Humane Society of Rome NY.
