Paul Fellner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Centennial on Jul. 25, 2025.
Paul Walter Fellner, aged 79, died surrounded by family on June 18th, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado. Paul lived a full life filled with laughter, love, family and friends. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband of 57 years to the love of his life Irene Fellner. He was a hardworking and proud father of two, and grandfather to three.
Paul was born January 15, 1946, in Konstanz, Germany and immigrated to Chicago, Illinois in 1951 at the age of five where he grew up on the North side on Augusta Blvd. with his two half-siblings, Elizabeth and Donna. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and obtained his GED in the service and soon after was deployed to Viet Nam. Paul served for three years and was awarded two bronze stars and a purple heart.
After Viet Nam, Paul returned home to Illinois where he proposed to Irene, and they were then married on January 6th, 1968. Paul began a successful career with Illinois Bell that spanned more than 25 years where he started as an installation and repair technician and then later worked as a manager in corporate security where he was granted a patent and recognized for its value by being awarded SBC's Chairman award. Paul retired from SBC in 2000. He and Irene lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a few years before settling for the next 20 years in Loudon, Tennessee.
Paul had a heart of gold and LOVED to laugh and bring smiles to everyone that he would meet. He cherished his family and friendships and was loyal to them as there was nothing he wouldn't do to help or show his huge heart to them. He loved to fish and play golf as well as taking his dog Wally on walks.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Fellner of Highlands Ranch, CO, as well as by his children, Cynthia Fellner of Greenville, SC, Steve Fellner and his wife Catherine of Highlands Ranch, CO, his grandchildren, Joseph and Kate Fellner and Jane Archer, as well as his sisters Elizabeth and Donna Fellner of Gilbert, AZ.
Paul's funeral service will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Southwest, Denver, CO on August 8th, 2025, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul Walter Fellner's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at: https://t2t.org/
