Paul Guse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duffy and Snowdon Funeral Home on Dec. 3, 2024.
Paul R. Guse, 73, of Moscow died Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Geisinger CMC following a lengthy illness. His wife, Linda (Frable) Guse died November 17, 2021. Born July 5, 1951 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Paul F. and Irene M. (Wagner) Guse.
Paul graduated from North Pocono High School in 1971. In his prime, on any given day you could find Paul at the golf course, bowling alley, baseball field, or on a mountain skiing or snowboarding. He held the record high bowling series of 858 at Country Lanes. Later in his life Paul could be found at the "office" having coffee, out to breakfast on a Saturday morning, selling fudge for a nickel or out fishing with friends and family. In Paul's words, out of the three Guse brothers, "he is still the best golfer and baseball player." Paul also loved watching his son P.J. bowl and spending time with his daughter Kiki and her husband. Anyone who knew Paul also knew his granddaughter Piper, as she was the light of his life and he was always ready to boast with pride or show a picture of her. He was always known for his positive attitude and never being shy to share a good (or corny) joke. Paul fought a good fight and overcame many hurdles in his health journey. He is now at peace with his loving wife Linda of 51 years.
Prior to his illness, Paul was employed by J. C. Ehrlich Pest Control for many years. Surviving are his children: Paul "P.J." Guse of Moscow, and Karyn "Kiki" Guse, and husband Chris Guda of Bryn Mawr; his granddaughter Piper L. Guda; his brothers: Ronald T. Guse, and wife Cyndi of Madison Twp. and Thomas Guse and wife Susan of Littleton, CO.; His sister-In-law Carole Burnett of Covington Twp.; cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by his beloved sister Lynn Lorenz.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 am in the Moscow United Methodist Church, 126 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
