Paul Joseph Gustowski, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, since 1975, died peacefully, returning to his Holy Father on December 16, 2025. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on June 22, 1947.

He joined the United States Air Force in 1968 and proudly served his country until 1978. He married Marie Antionette Duenas in 1972.

Paul was a life-long learner, returning to college at Texas Lutheran University on the GI bill in 1978, then earned an executive Masters of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University. He then went on to become a Deacon in 2001 and has served at St. Helena’s Parish since ordination.

His faith was the world to him and sharing it and serving others was his passion. He adored St. Helena's, and cherished each liturgical service, baptism, wedding, and funeral, honoring every person he was privileged to interact with. He also loved playing the piano, playing golf and telling a great joke.

Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Gustowski, his daughter Tina Gustowski and her son Andrew, his daughter Sharon Gustowski, and his son Paul Thomas Gustowski and his wife, Ashley and their three children, James, Mazzy and Issac. He is also survived by his two sisters, Claire Shepard (David Fortney) and Carol Mahoney (Dennis). He was preceded in death by his parents, Stasia and Chester Gustowski, and his sister, Ann Trotta.

A viewing will be held at St. Helena's Catholic Church, Monday, December 22, 2025, from 4-7PM with a Rosary at 5:30PM. Mass will be held at St. Helena's Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 10AM with the internment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
