Paul Edward Harrigan passed on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Paul was born in Bangor, ME on December 7, 1939, to Robert & Margaret (Fitzpatrick) Harrigan. They called him their miracle baby, and he believed in miracles until the end. He grew up as one of five brothers and attended mostly parochial schools until Hall High. He became an electrician but as life went on, he was many other things. Among them he was a contractor, business owner, consultant, gambler, deal maker, golfer, traveler, entertainer, and above all - a dreamer.
Paul was a man who took risks for those he loved or trusted. He was proud to call a wide spectrum of people friends. He never walked into a room without shaking every hand and almost always walked away with a new friend, partner, or associate. He was fiercely proud of his Irish Catholic roots and was known to raise a glass of whiskey and break into song without provocation. Because as his family all can attest, "Harrigan, that's me."
Paul was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Bobby and Joe, his son Michael, and grandson Oliver. He is survived by many who called him family including his children; Debbie, Kathy, Mandi, Tiffany, Kelley (Bob), and Missy (Aaron). His grandchildren; Taylor, William, Michael, Riley, Sadie, Sierra, Mykayla, and Douglas. His brothers Jerry and Tommy (Susan), ex-wife and Lynn, a host of nieces and nephews, and close friends Jed & Kara.
Services at St. Thomas will be postponed at this time for the spring and a gathering of all who were closest to him. In the meantime, we urge you to remember Paul by holding those you love close, telling a story or two, and raising a glass.
