Paul Hernandez, born March 26, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Eva Hernandez; his sons, Matthew Valdez and Jonathan Hernandez; and his daughter-in-law, Amanda. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Montano, Salma Hernandez, Elijah Oso, Breyana Valdivia, and Anthony Valdivia. Paul is further survived by many loving siblings, extended family members, dear friends, and his beloved dog, Nesta.
Paul had a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. He especially treasured long conversations with those he loved, moments that brought him great joy and meaning.
In accordance with Paul’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
