Paul Hollingsworth Obituary

Paul E. Hollingsworth, 86, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 peacefully surrounded by his family at his home. He was born November 25, 1938 in Evansville to the late Myrtle (Mills) and Earl Hollingsworth.

Paul graduated from Memorial High School and served in the US Army. He worked for Whirlpool for 36 years. Paul was a former member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and current member of St. Benedict Cathedral where he attended daily Mass. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography and building model airplanes and trains. After retirement, Paul enjoyed a good cup of coffee and his daily walks by the greenway and visits to Garvin Park.

He is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sisters, Sister Mary Margaret Hollingsworth, OSF, Dorothy Blades and Katherine Bennett; and brother, Charles Hollingsworth.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating.

Burial immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
