My sincere condolence to family members. I have fond memories of Paul. Paul worked for my Uncle Carmen Sommariva who was a contractor. He hired Paul when he had a bricklaying job. At that time when I was a very, very young man, I also worked as a laborer for my Uncle. At times I did work with Paul and I can tell you that in no way could I keep up with Paul as he laid bricks or foundation blocks. Paul was the true meaning of hard work ethics along with the true meaning of a family man. GOD BLESS that beautiful man.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. I have know Paul since I was a young boy. My grandparents Don and Elva Maxwell were neighbors of his Brother Bruno on West Brady Street downtown Butler. Paul became good friends with my grandfather and as I grew up I would help Paul when he was doing brickwork for my grandfather and eventually. He was doing brickwork for me as I started doing construction projects. He was a great teacher of his craft and quite the mentor to me. I will never forget our last big project together! The home I still live in today! The stone fireplace we built together as well as all the brickwork! I can't begin to thank him enough for all the skills he taught me and I will never forget the day I called and asked him if he was still doing block work and he told me I didn't need him I can handle it myself. I have since used the skills he gave me to make many masonry additions to my home and I consider him a part of them all. I will also fondly remember his and his wife dancing the polka at my wedding! They lit up the dance floor! I will forever remember him and his zest for life. Ok

The team of Paul and my dad (Ken Andres) laying brick couldn“t be beat around Butler. A favorite of ours was that my dad would complain that as they worked he was just getting straightened up and Paul was wanting to raise the scaffolding.
