Paul Roger Jenkins, Jr, 79, of Waco, passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side as always on April 6, 2025. He was born on January 11, 1946 in Dallas, Texas.
A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held at Waco Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 10:00 am and a reception to follow in the funeral home’s Reception Center. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home as well.
Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. After serving in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam war he was a dedicated employee, working his entire career at Southwestern Bell and then 32 years at Texas Farm Bureau. Second to his family, he loved playing golf and had many buddies at the golf course where he was in charge of keeping the scores for the local men’s league.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Paul Roger Jenkins Sr and his mother Hallie Rebecca Carter Jenkins.
He is survived by Sandra Louise Justice Jenkins, his wife of 56 years; two sisters, Paula Crump and Kathryn Jenkins Gaenslen to whom he was affectionately known as "Roddy"; his son W. Blake Jenkins, DO and spouse, Debi; his daughter Amanda “Mandy” Fetner and spouse, Josh; his daughter Rachel Warren and spouse, Michael; grandchildren Austin Ondrej and spouse Lauren, Emily Jenkins, Molly Jenkins, Cayden Warren, Jack Reynolds, Claire Warren, Miki Jenkins, Caitlyn Warren and Charlie Warre; one great-grandson Brody Ondrej; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made in honor of Roger to one of the following organizations or a charity of your choice.
