Paul Randall King, 75, of Wharton, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wharton on December 19, 1949, to the late B.D. and Bess King.
Paul was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend, residing in Wharton, Texas. He was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School. He worked as a machinist for many years with WKM in Missouri City, Texas Enterprises in Wharton and Phillips 66, retiring at the age of 62. He married Naoma Harris on November 6, 1970, in El Campo. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2014. He later married Deborah Moore on October 10, 2018, in Wharton. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2023. He was also an assistant Scout Leader for 5 years. Paul was a deeply religious man, being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wharton. He mentored many young gentlemen during his years. Paul loved to shoot guns. He would take friends and church members target shooting any chance he got. Family was very important to him; he never missed one of his granddaughters’ events. Paul loved animals, especially his fur baby, Miss Kitty. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodie King and brother, Dan King.Paul is survived by his daughter, Emily Quintanilla and husband, Eric, granddaughter, Lexie King, brother, Barry King, his fur baby, Miss Kitty, and great grand fur baby, Cooper, and many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be after 9 am Tuesday, November 4 at Wharton Funeral Home with Funeral Services set to begin at 10am. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
