Paul Kormendy Obituary
Paul Kormendy (September 30, 1924 - May 23, 2022) Paul died at his residence in Portland, OR at the age of 97. Paul was born in Hungary to Paul and Ilona Kormendy. He married Anita Konya, the love of his life, in May of 1954. During the Hungarian uprising in 1956, they left Hungary and settled in Toronto, Canada. In 1968 they Immigrated to the US and moved to Los Angeles, where Paul worked for Dart/Kraft Industries. He retired in 1982. Later relocating to Calaroga Terrace, in Portland, OR, they resided there until their deaths. Paul was a devout Catholic, a faithful, gentle friend, beloved by friends and family all over the world. He is preceded in death by his beloved Anita, his parents and brother László Kormendy. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who reside in Hungary.
