Paul "Bodie" Krause, 70, of D'Hanis, Texas, was called to his eternal home on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Born in Beeville on August 22, 1954, he is the son of Maureen (Finger) and Alfred Krause of Glen Flora. Bodie was a rancher, retired teacher, and avid outdoorsman who valued his friendships and adored his family. He found joy in life's simple gifts like a good campfire, traveling, hunting, fishing, and providing fish fries that could serve the entire community. Nothing made him more proud than his children and grandchildren who lovingly called him "BoBo". Bodie is preceded in death by his wife, Diana Krause, and father, Alfred Krause. He is survived by his mother, Maureen Krause; his two children, Travis (Mandy) Krause of D'Hanis and Julia (Brandon) Kraemer of Hondo; his three stepchildren Russel "Rusty" Spannagel of Devine, Marinda (Henry) Santos of D'Hanis, and Vicki (Arjin) Nolan of Tomball; his sisters, Maureen Mount and Alma Brooks; and his grandsons that he loved dearly, Jack, Max, and Eli Krause and Chase and Cayden Kraemer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 7, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis followed by fellowship at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the D'Hanis Lions Club, Attn: Jeremy Sexton PO Box 643 D'Hanis, TX 78850. Arrangements by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home.
