Paul Richard (Dick) Kuehn Jr., 77, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, in a healthcare facility in Roan Mountain, Tn.

He was born on August 10, 1946, in Oak Ridge, TN to the late Paul R. Kuehn Sr. and Martha Lou Holliday Kuehn.

Dick was of the Baptist faith, an avid outdoors man, Eagle Scout achieving the Order of Arrow.   He served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Captain.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.

After retiring from the Army, he continued to work for the Department of Defense.

In addition to his parents, Paul Richard Kuehn Sr. and Martha Lou Holliday Kuehn; his wife, Cheryl Ann Heaton Kuehn also preceded him in death.

Left to cherish the many memories include his son, Paul R. Kuehn, III of Roan Mountain, TN; sister, Sarah “Sally” (Bill) Blackwell of Delano, TN; brother, Rudy (Judy) Kuehn of Norwell, MA.; grandson, Kyle Kuehn, of Columbus, MS.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home.
