Paul Lepinski Obituary
Paul was born to David and Ruth (Hennenman) Lepinski on January 1, 1959, in Wadena, Minnesota. He was raised in Sebeka where he attended school and was active in band and ran cross country. Paul graduated in 1977. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and began is training in Michigan before going to MCAS Miramar in San Diego. Paul served on the USS Bainbridge and went to every continent except for Antarctic and Europe. He was skilled as an electronic technician, and operated and maintained the radar equipment. Paul received his honorable discharge in 1983. He worked a short period in Fallon, Nevada and Florida after being discharged. Paul then returned to Minnesota and was hired by the FAA and transferred to Sheridan, Wyoming. He married SueAnn Eckman on December 19, 1988. Paul was then transferred to Hibbing, Minnesota where they began a family with two daughters. In 1995 Paul and his family transferred down to Northfield, Minnesota.
Paul had a quick wit and a quicker comeback. He enjoyed going on long motorcycle trips with his friends and his cousin Mike where they once did rustic camping but as they got older, the motel became more appealing.
He is survived by his wife SueAnn of Northfield; two daughters Brianna Lepinski (Matt Plank) of Northfield, Rachel Lepinski (Chris Burt) of Eagan; and two sisters Diane (Guy) Sharpe of LaPorte, and Janine Paurus of River Falls, WI. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law Steven Paurus; and his niece Lindsey Paurus.
Services will be at Bierman Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. biermanfuneralhome.com.
