Paul Licata Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Freeman Funeral Homes - Manalapan on Nov. 20, 2025.
Paul Vincent Licata, 94, of Marlboro, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Paul moved to New Jersey 30 years ago, where he enjoyed retirement and spending time with his family.
Before retiring, Paul was a proud and accomplished business owner in the garment industry. He was a man of many interests-he loved bowling and going on hunting trips with his sons and extended family. He also enjoyed taking the family on annual vacations to Mount Airy Lodge, Villa Roma and the like. He was a devoted fan of the N.Y. Giants and N.Y. Mets. Above all, he was a devoted Catholic and cherished going to church. His three sons were his pride and joy. He always put them before himself. He wasn't a man who spoke his feelings aloud, but his love was unmistakable. He never would actually speak the words "I love you" but you knew you were loved nonetheless. His steady presence and unwavering commitment will be deeply missed.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Frances Licata, and by his beloved wife, Anna. He is survived by his brother, Anthony; his three sons, Michael (Jeannie), Jeffrey (Debbi), and Paul Jr. (Joann); his nine grandchildren, Victoria, Amanda, Jeffrey, Michael, Christopher, Michelle, Anthony, Alexandra, and Paul III; and his seven great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, November 23, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel's Historic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that a memorial donation be made the The Michael J. Fox Foundation in Paul's memory.
