Share your Memorial with Family & FriendsUnited States Army Major (Ret.) Paul A. Lombardi passed away peacefully at home on August 18th, 2025, aged 61, in Melbourne, Florida after a life marked by distinguished military service and love.
There are no words to describe Paul because he was larger than life. Paul made friends everywhere he went and was always the life of the party. He was affectionately known as Uncle Paul to many. The world will be a dimmer place without him. Paul was born July 7, 1964 to Antonio Lombardi-(deceased) and Eileen (Driscoll) Lombardi-(deceased) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Husband of Brittany Nolan. Father of Michael Lombardi and Anthony (Ryan) Lombardi, Victoria (Ethan) Hunt, Alexandria (Nick) Jordan, and Isabella (Nick) Cristaldi. Dear brother of Ronald (Linda) Lombardi, Linda Woodward-deceased (Donald-deceased), Ann (Rick) Gardner, Maria Clark (Michael, deceased), Nicholas (Christine) Lombardi, Christopher (Laura) Lombardi, Lisa Lombardi (deceased), Lucia (Colleen Lay) Lombardi. He was a proud grandfather of Charlotte, Caitlin, Eleanor, Eloise, Harlan, Margot, and Theo, and a favorite uncle of 21 nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed. Paul was a graduate of Slippery Rock University and an Army Veteran of over twenty three years in service. He was a career Army officer and served in leadership roles in Desert Storm and Croatia. His decorations include Bronze Star Medal with V device, Meritorious Service Medal, Purple Heart, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Reserve components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal(2), Armed forces Expeditionary Medal, South West Asia Service Medal(3), Global War on Terrorism Service medal(2), Armed Forces Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Overseas training Ribbon(2), Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M device, NATO medal and Kuwait Liberation Medal. A celebration of life will be held at Honor Brewing, 14004 Willard Rd A Chantilly, VA 20151, on October 11, 2025 at 1600.
Paul will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Paul's name to the purple heart foundation https://purpleheartfoundation.org/donate/
