Paul Anthony Lorenz Jr was born June 19th, 1961 in West Islip, NY to the late Paul Anthony Lorenz, Sr and Mary Jane Costello and passed on the evening of December 26th, 2021 in Pittsboro, NC. He is survived by his son Steven and his wife Kami and their son Gavin Lorenz, his daughter Heather Lorenz, sister Mary Lorenz-Hattorff, her daughters Kristen and Michelle, brother Bill Lorenz, his daughter Samantha Ladd-Stevenson, and fiancé Paula Jo Vescuso, God mother Aunt Penny & Uncle Wayne Rogers, his Uncle Thomas and Aunt Patti Costello and God father Uncle Peter and Aunt Mary Lorenz. He was raised in the catholic church and kept his faith in God throughout his life. He Grew up in Smithtown NY on Long Island where his love for the ocean and outdoors began. He had a love for nature and spent most of his free time at the beach, on a bike trail or in beautiful gardens capturing their beauty in photography as well as drawings and paintings. He loved Football and Baseball. He was a quiet man and loved spending time with family and friend's enjoying life. He graduated Edneyville High School class of '79. Paul was loved by all who came in contact with him, he always had such a sense of humor, God shined on all of us when he put Paul in our lives. He lived in Fletcher, NC during the latter part of his life. His wishes were to have a close family celebration at sea in remembrance of a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to The North Carolina Arboretum.
