Paul G Manko

Paul G. Manko, age 87, recent resident of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and was raised in the neighboring town of Beaver Meadows by the late John and Helen Manko. Paul graduated Hazelton High School where he played football as a defensive and offensive lineman. Paul continued his education and football career at Bloomsburg University (formerly College), later earning his Masters of Education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University). Paul relocated to Moorestown, NJ and worked an elementary school teacher and school administrator before serving as the Assistant Superintendent of the Mount Laurel School District, retiring in 1993 at the age of 55.

Paul was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown, NJ for forty-nine years. In his free time, he enjoyed fly fishing, golfing, and cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. Paul was very active and his fitness was important to him. He could often be found at the LA Fitness in Mount Laurel where he made many friends over the years. In 2022, Paul moved to Columbus, Ohio to be closer to his family.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jacquelyn (Junginger) Manko; his cherished children, Maria Fanning (David) and Greg Manko (Jackie); and his treasured grandson, Samuel Fanning. His loving niece, Colleen Manko, nephew Ron Bzdil (Rose), and cousin, John Skurla (Karen), also survive him.

Paul's siblings, John and Olga Manko, precede him in death.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Paul's visitation from 9:00-10:15AM and to his funeral mass at 10:30AM, both at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment will follow mass at Jesus, Bread of Life Cemetery, 3055 Fostertown Rd, Mount Laurel Township, NJ 08054.
