Ardmore, OK- Paul Martin was born on Saturday, April 4, 1936 at the homeplace in Nida, Oklahoma to William Earl Martin and Gladys (Colbert) Martin and passed from this life into his Heavenly home on Friday, January 17, 2025 from his Ardmore home at the age of 88.
Paul grew up and graduated from Nida School. He married Marie Blades in August of 1961 at Durant, Oklahoma, and were together over 63 years. Paul was employed as a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed crappie fishing and loved playing regular Dominoes as he participated in many tournaments. Paul and Marie have lived in Ardmore since 1982 and are members of the Mary Niblack Baptist Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers James Hendricks, George Hendricks, Cadian Hendricks, Al Hendricks, and Charlie Martin.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Marie, of the home; a son, Charlie Martin and his wife, Tiffany of Jacksboro, Texas; one brother, John Martin of Phoenix, Arizona; and two grandkids, Douglas Brown and Lainey Brown; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Mary Niblack Baptist Church located at 898 Mary Niblack Rd in Ardmore. Pastor Larry Mitchell will officiate. Committal services will follow at Condon Grove Cemetery west of Milburn with Curt Larson, Brian Cothran, James Harrell, Joe David McReynolds, Ken Hillis, and Dale Dunn serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dickson One Stop round table coffee drinkers who were Paul's good friends and Thurman Rail.
Paul's family will receive and greet friends from 6-7 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Brown's Funeral Home in Madill.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Baptist Home for Girls 1396 Anthony Lane Madill, OK 73446. Please include your name and address, and in memory of Paul Martin.

Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service 107 E. Tishomingo St. in Madill.
