Paul was born on November 19, 1959, in Rockwell, North Carolina, to James Richard Massey and Doris Snowdy Massey. A true jack of all trades and a master of none, Paul had a knack for fixing things and helping others, always willing to lend a hand where he could.
Though he had no children of his own, Paul was a beloved "uncle, dad, and grandpa" figure to many. His loyalty, love, and steady presence left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and working on cars, simple joys that brought him peace and happiness.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Massey; sister, Edith Massey; nephew, Mark Thorp; sister, Patricia Thorp Higgins; brother, Rick Massey; sister-in-law, Jo Marie Massey. He is survived by nieces: Cassandra Dunlap, Beth Thorp, and Amy Walters; great-nieces: Zoey Valeu, Savannah Valeu, Stormy McDaniel, Kaylee Walters; great-nephews: Justin Dunlap, Gunner Valeu, Ashton McDaniel, Atlas McDaniel; brothers: John Massey, and Russell Waller; several other family members and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
