Paul Kirk McQuillin of Pahrump, Nevada passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025,
in the presence of God and family. Paul was born on May 28, 1939, in Artesia,
California to Theodore and Caroline McQuillin. As a young man, Paul was hard working
and adventurous in Southern California, hunting in the Riverside hills and even taking a
small boat to Catalina Island. Paul met Nancy Wilder who were high school sweethearts
and married at a young age. Paul and Nancy had two boys, Rodney (1956-2004) and
Duane, who was born in 1962. Paul excelled in the early development of computers
with Autonetics Corp, based in California. In 1965 Paul, Nancy and the children moved
to Alaska to further his career in data processing choosing Alaska over Germany and
Hawaii. As a family they spent time together camping and fishing. Paul enjoyed
shooting sports for which he won the Fur Rendezvous All-Around Championship for
Clays, Long Rifle and Pistol Competition in 1978. Paul retired as the Director of Data
Processing for the Municipality of Anchorage in 1996 and moved to Pahrump. Nancy
passed away in March of 1998. Paul met Rosalba (Rosa) Gibson of Pahrump in 1999,
and they were married in Aguas Calientes Mexico. Paul and Rosa have lived in
Pahrump since then. Rosa owns and operates Rosa's Gifts on Homestead Road and
participates in several outdoor markets in the surrounding areas. Paul is preceded in
his death by his father, Theodore McQuillin, mother, Caroline McQuillin, his brothers,
James McQuillin, Warren McQuillin, Thomas McQuillin, Sister, Betty McQuillin, wife,
Nancy McQuillin, son, Rodney McQuillin, grand daughter, Laura McQuillin, and
grandsons Paul McQuillin and Jonathan McQuillin. Those left behind include his
beloved Wife, Rosa, her two sons Robert and Andrew of Pahrump, Duane his son from
Alaska and the remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul and Rosa were
inseparable and enjoyed spending time with Andrew's four children Angel, Andraya,
Avery and Aurora Gibson. Paul had 20 grandchildren (Duane 11 and Rodney 9) and 31
great grandchildren. Paul remembered all the birthdays, would send a card and call
often to keep up to date with all the happenings. He never forgot to say, "Be Careful"
and "I Love You" every time he spoke on the phone. He was a man who encouraged
others with sound wisdom and always provided an encouraging word. His faithfulness
to his family and God is his legacy for others to follow.
