Paul McCarthy, age 82, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, after a year-long battle with cancer. He died at his home in Londonderry, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born on January 21, 1943, in Arlington, Massachusetts, to Allan and Gertrude McCarthy. He devoted his life to his family, always placing their needs above his own. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Paul was the steady presence his family relied on and cherished.
Paul was known for his generosity and his deep commitment to helping others. He frequently volunteered his time to support people in his community, never hesitating to lend a hand where it was needed. His kindness, quiet strength, and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan McCarthy; his daughter, Katie Tilton, and her husband Christopher Tilton; his son, Christopher McCarthy, and his wife Julia McCarthy; and his treasured grandchildren, Emma, Cameron, Teagan, and Sara.
Private services will be held in the spring.
