Paul Dewayne McClung, Age 70, of Leoni Township, Jackson, Michigan, passed away on October 17, 2025 unexpectedly from complications of open-heart surgery. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 52 years, Lois "Jeannie" and his son, Jamie and granddaughter, Maya. He was well respected by anyone who knew him.
Paul was born on May 10, 1955 in Clay County, Arkansas to Paul C. McClung and Luella (Eagle) McClung.
Paul and Lois "Jeannie" (Mullins) McClung were married on May 18, 1973. They celebrated 52 years of marriage this past May. They had two sons, Paul Stephen McClung and Jamie Alan (Kami) McClung; one grandchild, Maya McClung, and two great-grandchildren, Amarianna and Kemoni.
Paul was a retired machine repair technician after 30 years, retired former co-owner of Professional Quality Assurance after 15 years, and retired former co-owner of Napoleon Auction House after 12 plus years.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool and darts in his spare time. Paul loved working in his garage on small engines and was very mechanically inclined. He was a MSU fan and loved the Chevrolet make of vehicles especially the corvette. Paul often sacrificed his own happiness to make his sure his family had all they needed. He was a very caring man with a huge heart of gold. He was a 38-year member of the Michigan Center Eagles 3634 and a past-worthy president.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lois Gene "Jeannie" (Mullins) McClung; one son, Jamie (Kami) McClung; one grand-daughter, Maya McClung, two great-grandchildren, Amarianna Brown, and Kemoni Landenberger; one sister, Betty (Keith) Carr, all of Jackson County.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul C. McClung and his mother, Luella V. (Eagle) McClung; one brother, Bob (Yvonne) McClung; two sisters, Doris (Clay) Lindsay and Patricia (Dave) Nelson; and his son, Paul Stephen McClung.
The Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 beginning at 5:00pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles -Post #3634, 302 5th Street, Michigan Center, MI. 49254. The Lodge of Sorrow will be held, along with a dinner following. The family is requesting passing dishes, donations, and flowers to bring to the celebration.
