Paul McDonald Obituary

Paul R. McDonald, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 12:52 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home. He was born in Highland Park, Michigan on January 13, 1947, to the late Wilbur W. and Bonnie A. (Muston) McDonald.

On June 20, 1970, in Belle Center, Paul married Jocele (Keys) McDonald, and she survives. 

He is also survived by his sons, Jonathan (BJ) McDonald, Michael (Andrea) McDonald, and Peter (Rachel) McDonald; grandchildren, Kat, Roo, Victoria, Christian, Abby, Ryan, Zoey, and Seth; sister, Shirley Davis; brother, Jim (Linda) McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. 

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roger Davis. 

Paul was a distinguished veteran of the U.S. Navy, and an active member of the Belle Center Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he held positions as a deacon and treasurer. His professional career included many years at HBD Industries, culminating in his retirement in 2012. Paul took great pleasure in boating on Indian Lake and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Alongside his wife Jocele, he enjoyed traveling across the country. 

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine. A Celebration of Life for Paul will follow the visitation at 12 Noon on Saturday, May 10th, at the funeral home.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Reformed Presbyterian Church RP Missions, 7408 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 or Calvary Christian Schools, 1673 County Road 9, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
