Paul T. Moore, 74, died Friday morning, June 30, 2023 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Laureen P. (Maribito) Moore, his high school sweetheart, who predeceased him on January 17, 2023.
Born in Danvers on May 11, 1949, he was the son of the late John and Alice Moore. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1967 graduate of Danvers High School. He served honorable in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Paul began working at Moore Plumbing at just 16 years old, and bought the company in 1986, operating it successfully with his wife until their retirement.
For more than forty years, Paul was an active member of the Beverly-Peabody Elks Lodge #1309.
He leaves two daughters, Shayla Copeland and her husband Charles and Brenda McKenney and her husband Raymond, all of Danvers. He was the beloved grandfather of Devonne Moore, Gray McKenney, Sammantha McKenney, Alexander Moore, Trey McKenney and Olivia Copeland and great-grandfather of Aubrey and Zoey. He also leaves his brother, Eddie Moore of Danvers.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150.
