Paul Pidcoe, 91, of Canton Township, passed away at his residence in the early evening of Monday, October 7, 2024, with family by his side. Paul was born September 21, 1933, in Montoursville, a son of the late Robert Sr. and Blanch (Kuchenbrod) Pidcoe, the last surviving sibling out of seven children. He attended Canton Area Schools and in February of 1954 he was drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served his country for nearly two years during the Korean war. On November 19, 1971, Paul married the former Carolyn "Jane" Williams at the First Baptist Church in Canton. Together they shared 39 wonderful years together until Janes passing in 2011. Paul was employed by Penn Troy Machine Company and most recently by Lemco Tool as a machinist until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the East Canton United Methodist Church, Beech Flats Grange #336, Pomona State National Grange, the National Rifle Association and served on the Beech Flats Cemetery Board of Directors.
Paul loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, working with his tractor and cutting wood. Paul loved his family and his home. The family would like to thank his daughter-in-law's, Bettyann and Nona as well as the Guthrie Hospice nurses for their loving care they provided to Paul.
Paul leaves behind his children; Paul L. (Pam) Pidcoe of Canton, Nancy Pidcoe and Penny Isenberg both of Manassas, VA and Phyllis (Jody) Armel of Strasburg, Philip (Nona) Pidcoe of Mainesburg and James (Bettyann) of Canton, 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents and stepmother Lois, and his wife, Jane, Paul was predeceased by sisters; Maida Chaney, Gaynelle Pidcoe, Janet Pidcoe, Linda Shears and Gladys Pidcoe, a brother Robert Pidcoe, son-in-law; Ranny Isenberg.
