David R. Morrison, passed away after a brief illness at Robert Packer Hospital with daughter Nikki and son-in-law Eric by his side, on March 9, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on May 20, 1961, in Troy, Pennsylvania, and took his final rest at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Dave dedicated 36 years of his life to serving as Road Foreman for Granville Township, where he was known for his hard work and commitment to his community. In his earlier years, Dave also spent time driving a school bus, showing the same dedication and care that marked his career.
Dave had a passion for classic cars and motorcycles, often taking trips on them to enjoy the open road. He also found joy in snowmobiling and riding four wheelers, engaging with the great outdoors whenever possible. Many fond memories were made during picnics with family and friends. In his younger days, Dave enjoyed bowling and throwing horseshoes, hobbies that brought him both fun and relaxation.
Dave was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard and Janice (Kalo) Morrison. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Nikki Putnam, and her husband Eric, of Canton, PA. His legacy lives on through his treasured grandchildren, Nicholas, Mark, and Charlotte. Dave will also be dearly missed by his brothers, Mike Morrison and his wife Lori of Granville Summit, and Dale Morrison of Troy. His nieces and nephews, Krystle, Derrike, Dillon, and Brittany, along with his great-nephew August, will fondly remember Uncle Dave. He leaves behind his cousin Billy Page and his wife Kathy, who shared many special moments with him over the years.
A time of fellowship and food to celebrate Dave’s life will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Granville Center Church of Christ, located at 5733 Route 514, Granville Summit, PA 16926, with the meal starting at 12:00 noon. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
