Paul Victor Pomerleau, 72, died peacefully in his home April 14th, 2025, with his two children by his side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Paul was born on February 6th, 1953, in Westbrook, the son of the late Timothy and Theresa (Lepenven) Pomerleau. Paul graduated from Westbrook High School in 1971 and was the youngest of his three siblings, including Georgette and Pauline. On May 16th, 1980, Paul married Janice (Muise) Pomerleau with whom he had two children, Christopher, and Melissa (McCrillis). Paul spent the majority of his adulthood as a dedicated machinist, retiring from MEGA Industries in 2018. A true New Englander at heart, Paul was an avid dart player and golfer, and an enthusiastic fan of the New England Patriots. He cherished nothing more than the time spent with his two children and five beloved grandchildren-Cavan, Maeve, Riona, Colby, and Sophia-each of whom could always count on leaving a visit with a smile and a five-dollar bill in hand. Paul was known for his snarky sense of humor right up until the end, always ready with a dry remark or a playful jab that reminded everyone he was still very much himself.
Paul is survived by his two children: Christopher and his wife Katie of Casco; Melissa and her husband Colin of Portland; grandchildren, his two sisters Georgette and husband Vern of Standish; Pauline and husband Phil of Scarborough nieces and a nephew.
Upon Paul's request a private family gathering will be scheduled at a later date. For more information, please reach out to Christopher or Melissa.
