Paul Scott Powell

Paul Scott Powell, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 30, 2026. He was a devoted family man and the hardest working person many knew, spending his life as an owner-operator truck driver to provide for those he loved. He had a deep passion for cars-especially Mopars-and took great pride in everything he did. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren, always the first to celebrate every accomplishment, no matter how big or small. If anyone needed anything, he would always say "yes," putting others before himself without hesitation." He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Powell; his devoted mother, Mary Sue Powell; his loving children, Paul Raymond (Tricia) Powell, Kevin Powell, and Tabitha Hardin; his sister, Karen (Dave) Kristofek; and cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Audrey, Sarah, Jonothan, Olivia, Brenda, Eric, Josh, Zach and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul James Powell; and his step-children, Byron "Buddy" Powell and Christy Hardin. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. Cremation rites will be accorded.
