Paul Wayne Rawls, 86, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at his residence. He graduated from Mathews High School in 1953. After 34 years of service, he retired as a substation electrician from Dominion Resources in 1993. Paul loved and served his Lord in many capacities at Macedonia Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church.
Paul was greeted in his heavenly home by cherished family members who had predeceased him, including his parents and his beloved stepson, Jason W. Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia “Pat” N. Rawls; stepsons, Christopher D. Moore, and Nolan A. Moore; his wife’s grandchildren, Tyler Moore, Hunter Moore, Hayden Moore, Samantha Moore, and Alex Moore.
A celebration of his life will be held at Paul’s home in Foster, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. on October 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to bring a dish to share, and we will spend the afternoon enjoying our time together and sharing memories of Paul. Donations may be made in his memory to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, 94 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins, Virginia 23076. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews is assisting the family.
