Paul Rawls Obituary
Paul was born on July 22, 1967, and was a longtime resident of Jay, Florida. He was a devoted father, a proud Pop Pop, and a man whose presence brought strength and comfort to those who knew and loved him.
Paul was a dedicated foreman at Chromalloy Welding Aerospace, where he took great pride in his work and the people he worked alongside. Outside of his career, he had a deep love for Southern Gospel music and was known for his beautiful tenor voice-so much so that those who heard him sing often said he could give Brian Free a run for his money. He was a longtime member of True Worship Assembly of God, where he faithfully served as a worship leader and found great joy in praising the Lord. Paul was also a devoted fan of Alabama football and rarely, if ever, missed a game. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and golfing, simple pleasures that brought him peace and happiness.
He is survived by his former spouse and the mother of his children, Diane McMillan Rawls, with whom he shared a lasting love and a deep pride in their children and grandson; his children, Robert Rawls (Holly), Hunter Rawls (fiancée Audrey Morsch), Trevor Rawls (fiancée Jazlyn Hallett), Ashlynn Rawls, and grandson Anson Rawls; his sister, Kimberly Rawls Brooks; and his beloved nieces, Leanne Wyche (Aaron), Brittany Brooks, and Sarah Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam Rawls, father Darnell Rawls, grandmother Willie May Rawls, and grandfather Thomas Jefferson Rawls,grandmother, Aileen Wolfe; and grandfather, Oscar Leon Wolfe.
Paul's greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished the time he spent with them and was especially proud of the life and legacy he built through his children and grandson. His love, guidance, and steady presence will continue to live on in each of them.
He will be remembered for his strength, his heart, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he is now resting free from pain.
A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held Saturday April 4, 2026 Visitation 3PM, Funeral 4pm
