Paul David Rock

Paul David Rock, 75, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1947, in Trenton, NJ, Paul was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of Steinert High School, Class of 1965. He dedicated his life to service, enlisting in the United States Marines, where he valiantly served from 1965 to 1968, including a time spent in Okinawa during the Vietnam War.
After returning from his military service, Paul pursued his passion for machinery and mechanics. He began his professional journey with some accounting courses at Rider University and briefly worked at McGraw-Hill before founding his own machine shop, Windsor Automotive Machines, over 50 years ago. Paul's heart was rooted in the art of machining; he found joy in problem-solving and delight in unraveling the intricacies of engines and mechanical systems.
Paul's zest for life extended beyond his workbench. In his free time, he cherished fishing in the salt waters and engaged in practical shooting during his younger years. However, nothing brought him more joy than sharing moments with family and friends at NASCAR races, particularly at Dover and Bristol tracks, where he created treasured memories with loved ones. As we remember Paul, let us celebrate a life dedicated to family, service, and the joy of living. May his spirit continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew him.
Paul is predeceased by his beloved parents, Elwood and Edith (Dornish) Rock, and his cherished son, David P. Rock; he is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Nancy (McDonald) Rock; his daughter, Michelle Rock of Hamilton; his delightful granddaughters, Angela and Ashleigh Reynolds of Hampton, VA; his brother, Dean Rock of Hopewell; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Warren Pick of Iowa; along with many dear friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and warmth.
A celebration of both Paul's and his son, David's remarkable lives will be held in the Spring where stories and memories will be shared to honor their legacies.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paul's memory to a charity or cause of your choice.
