John Timko Obituary
John Timko 71, of Hamilton Square, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 2, 2025.
John was a 1972 graduate of Steinert High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Rider College. He was an avid Yankees fan and soccer player and was also a recipient of the Mercer County Hall of Fame. John enjoyed playing soccer with The Cranberry Kickers and The German American Kickers (GAK). Later he traveled to Germany to play with the semi-professional club teams.
John later became the owner and operator of John's Pizza in Allentown for 26 years. After retiring, he continued to work for Eastern Auto Parts for over 10 years. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph N. and Helen M. (Rossier) Timko; and his nephew, Kevin Gnandt; he is survived by his siblings, Kathy (John) Gnandt, Joseph (Nancy) Timko, James (Sharon ) Timko, David Timko; several nieces and nephews, John Gnandt, Kristi Stockglausner, Michael Gnandt, Brian Gnandt, Todd Smith, Tracie Smith, and Joe Timko; as well as many great nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday November 10, 2023 from
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620
A Prayer service to follow will beginning at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to any favorite charity of the donor's choice.
