Paul Lawrence Rumple Sr., 87 of Charleston, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025
Born on March 22, 1938, in Wilmington, North Carolina Paul was a son of the late Mildred McGill Rumple and Presley Paul Rumple.
Paul was an avid fisherman and like to hunt and birdwatch. He worked for the Exxon Corporation as a marine terminal specialist for 36 years and served in the Army National Guard for 25 years. Paul was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of James Island.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Presley and Mildred Rumple, sister Mari Fulton Smith and a grandson, David Brian Nettles.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul Larry Rumple Jr (Mari); daughter Kathryn R. Kipp (Doug) of Pooler, Ga. a granddaughter Rebekah Isiabella Rumple of Makawao, Hi; sisters Pat Lewis and Cindy Mckitrick of Wilmington, North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2025, at 3:00PM at Charleston Baptist Church,13 San Miguel Rd., Charleston a service will follow at 4:00PM
Flowers will be received, and memorials may be made to Charleston Baptist Church 13 San Miguel Rd., Charleston, SC 29407. Designated to Operation Christmas Child or Dunamis Outreach Ministry.
