Paul Schrader Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lakes Funeral Home on Mar. 4, 2025.
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Paul Schrader, 72, of Berea, Kentucky on March 1, 2025. Born in Seymour, Indiana, Paul dedicated his life to hard work, family, and the great outdoors.
A lifelong land surveyor, Paul most recently worked for the City of Berea, where his precision and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and the community alike. Beyond his career, he held a pilot's license and found joy in the skies. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking and camping, always seeking new trails to explore and the peace of being surrounded by nature.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, honesty, and deep compassion. His integrity was unmatched, a guiding light for those fortunate enough to know him. He led by example, with quiet strength and unwavering principles.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Tammy; his daughters, Laura and Amber; and his cherished grandchildren, John Paul, Zadie, Briar, Hoyt, Donovan, and Ethan. He also leaves behind his sister, Ellen, along with many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Schrader, and his two brothers.
His memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved him.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 2 to 5pm at the Berea College Forestry Outreach Center at the Pinnacles.
