Paul Seidl Obituary

Paul J. Seidl, 65, of Rockford, slipped all the way off the grid, no longer to be "in-the-box" of life with us, on November 26, 2025. He was in his apartment and suffered chronic heart failure.

Born April 28, 1960, in Port Washington, WI, the son of Joseph A. and Genevieve T. (Dolan) Seidl.

Graduate of University of Wisconsin: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. On "retiring" from engineering, he worked as a seasonal tax preparer and trainer in Rockford for over 30 years. He did property maintenance/gutter cleaning for a few years. After tax time he celebrated with annual sky-dives, six-mile walkabouts with dog treats, and fishing with lifelong friend Mike or brother Fred and nephew Scott.

Survived by his brothers, John (Karen) of Milwaukee, Fred (Vicki)of Houston, and Steve (Sue) of New Berlin WI. Uncle to Mike, Megan, and Melissa, Leah and Scott, Jake, Julianne, and Nick. Great uncle to Tyler and Brady, Austin and Travis, and Joseph and baby Paul 2.0. Predeceased by his parents.

To name a few in Rockford he left behind are his "guardian angels" Scott, Ron, and Art, agent and tax compatriot Chris, and many others who shared the love of dogs, cheesecakes and off colored jokes.

We will all miss him so much.

Private family services are contemplated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any food pantry or free legal assistance organization of your choice. To share a memory or condolence, please visit www.olsonfh.com
