Wow. Paul Shumate I could talk about him for hours. What a great and unique man he was. The Shumate house was another childhood home for me. Many weekends there and at the farm. As the obituary said- take a walk in the woods. I had so many walks with him, Jill and punkin (the family dog). Great conversation and wisdom was definitely taught during those walks. Sometimes it would just be a boring Sunday afternoon and I would get a call from Jill saying hey - wanna go to the farm w dad and I? We would all three pile up in the front seat of the truck, well four if u count Punkin and head 20 min's up to the farm. Good times!! He will be missed. So glad I was able to attend his 80'th birthday party in Nov 2017. Rest In Peace you special man. Enjoy the other side.
